Princeton Coating Maintenance Tips
We will give you five tips to help you make a plan for maintaining your ceramic-coated vehicle - to last longer and decrease the potential of paint correction.
Princeton Coating after care maintenance tips and guide :
Washing Your Car at Home:
- Princeton Coating has a self-cleaning effect, making it slick and effective at removing contaminants. Minimize rubbing on the coating to ensure its durability.
- Use a pH balanced shampoo to remove bird droppings, bugs, and tree sap, followed by a gentle wipe with a soft, edge-less microfiber towel.
Washing Schedule:
- Wash your car bi-weekly for optimal results to prevent excessive contamination build-up.
- Use only recommended mild soaps.
- Avoid high volume brush-style car washes and high pH detergent cleaners.
- Wash in a shaded area to reduce streaking and water spotting.
- Start washing from the top and work your way down to avoid cross-contamination, and use a separate soap.
Washing Methods:
- For standard home washing, use a foam gun or microfiber wash mitt to soap the car, then rinse with a pressure washer or hose, followed by drying with clean microfiber towels.
- At self-service car washes, select the high-pressure soap, rinse, and then dry with microfiber towels.
- If using a car wash facility, choose touchless car washes without brushes, and avoid the "spray wax" option.
Drying:
- Always dry your vehicle completely and avoid letting it air dry to prevent water spots. Use high-quality microfiber towels and gentle, absorbing motions.
Spot Removal:
- Avoid using harsh products or excessive force to remove spots. Promptly remove bird droppings, tar, sap, and other contaminants to prevent staining.
- Do not wax the coating; it's unnecessary and won't adhere to it.
Automated Washing:
- Use touch-free automated car washes only, as brushes can damage the coating. Do not wash your vehicle during the first week after the Princeton Coating application, as it takes up to a week to fully harden.
Leather and Fabric Maintenance:
- Clean leather and vinyl surfaces bi-weekly with a leather protectant to prevent build-up and maintain natural oils.
- Vacuum carpets regularly and use fabric cleaners as needed.
Quality Inspections:
- If you have concerns about the coating's performance, contact an approved applicator for a quality inspection within the warranty period.
- Quality inspections are important for ensuring maximum gloss and protection from Princeton Coating.
In summary, regular, gentle cleaning and proper care are key to maintaining the effectiveness and appearance of your Princeton Coating.
